*uploaded a new photo... have been mulling over what *whitehound noticed about proportions. i looked at the original and thought hermione's head didn't look as big as it does on the first uploaded image (although admittedly, i think i overdid 'skinny' on sev's arm). alas... the problem lay in the angle in which i held the camera during the first shot -- that was responsible for the distortion. oh the misery of going scannerless... one has to be sure the camera lens is completely parallel with the piece (that, among other concerns such as even lighting and holding your hand as still as possible). but enough whinging for now! i am a lot happier with this image and the colours are as close as i can get to the original. (took note of =northangel27's tip on going for IE instead of Firefox to maintain colour integrity. yay!!!
 (15th Aug 09)*** Couldn't watch HBP today just yet. Oh well... So... I've still been reading  's fanfiction and was inspired yet again by her brilliant writing to make this piece.It took me a while to get acquainted with Hermione's hair... I guess I've just gotten used to doing Lily's. Yes, she's of age and I took pains to make her appear more mature... an effort that ended abysmally as you can see. But I'm still rather fond of her. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
